Note
There are two John Danes who were both born in 1716. Both have fathers named John. This John was born in Ipswich, while the other Deacon John Dane was born and lived in Andover and married Sarah Chandler. It appears to be a common mistake for Sarah Chandler to be listed as the wife of John Dane of Ipswich on online family trees.
Biography
Early Records of the Dane Family of Andover [1] lists this family. In reading the description, I believe the line for John (5) actually refers to John (4) since the dates don't make sense for John (5).
