DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage (beta) of DNA with John:

I noticed that you have made a similar error as others -

Captain John Daniel b. 23 May 1762 d. 13 Jun 1841 Elbert County, GA did NOT have the middle name Osborne or a middle initial per service records, deeds, will, etc. Although he is a direct descendant of Captain James Daniel, so far, descendants have not determined the name of his father - dates are 'off' from John, son of Woodson and quite impossible. I have copious notes and will share - not my work but fully resourced by two other descendants.
