"...Roger Daniell's home on the east end of "Mulberry island," Warwick Co.,VA, was on land inherited from Miles Cary, whose will was probated in Warwick Co., 21 July 1667. (See The Virginia Carys, p. 164-8). ..."
"...Miles Cary and Roger Daniell were related, lived in the same vicinity and probably came to Virginia about the same time, possibly with Roger Daniell's brothers Thomas and John...."
"...No will of Roger Daniell has been found, and the [sur]name of his wife isn't known...." [Her given name was Ann.]
No primary record evidence has been found that proves any living descendants of Roger Daniel. The Y DNA of the line of Roger Daniell is not proved.

HOWEVER: there are at least 16 DNA tests from more than one Roger Daniel son descendant. AND two SNP I-A11115 positive tests.
It seems to me that the conclusion is very soundly supported indeed.

The same is true for those who claim descent from John Daniel of York County, Virginia. Just substitute his name for Roger Daniell in the above comment/question.
I think that is unsupported. We have found no trace of any relatives whatsoever in England, much less influential ones.
There were other Daniel families, but they appear to be totally unrelated.
When widower Roger V, his child Roger VI and his brothers Thomas and John left England in 1654, the family became extinct there as far as we can tell.
It also raises the question as to who is his third wife, the mother of Henry, James, William and Clare.
