Pat was adopted by his biological mothers cousin, Elizabeth (Payne) Daniels and her husband T.A. Daniels. Pat's mother, Margaret, died about a month after his birth from complications from the birth, a C section. He would never know either his birth mother or father.
After Pat's death in 2012 his children found his birth certificate which listed his biological parents Margaret Ward and Franklin Elliot. A divorce record has been found for them but no marriage record. Margaret is buried as Margaret Elliot despite the divorce record. Very few details have been found about either but especially the father, Franklin. Brandi, Pat's daughter, has taken a DNA test and has found 2nd and 3rd cousins from the Elliot side, with Franklin included, although still not much is known about Franklin Elliott.
