The birth record gives her name as Chloe F. Daniels. While the 1860 census spells her name Cloe C. (age 3) and in the 1880 census she is shown as Clora C. Daniels. Then her death record gives her name as Cloa C. When pronounced aloud the name could be Chloe but that is an extremely unusual name for the time period in West Virginia so consideration should be given to the name Clara as an alternative. Finally, in 1870, the census for Wayne County, West Virginia shows her as Cathrinia Daniels, age 12 born Virginia (attended school but cannot read or write) in the household of William and Martha Daniels. She is given the same age as her brother Robert but is listed last in the household after her sister Lousia who was 8 years old. It is almost as if she was an after thought. Perhaps the census taker wasn't sure of her name or age.
Clora C. Daniels, age 22, resided in the 1880 household of Martha Daniels at Ceredo, Wayne County, West Virginia.
Cloa C. Daniels, age 22 years, 3 months, 18 days, died of consumption 18 February 1880 according to Wayne County, West Virginia Death records. However, it remains unexplained why "Clora" was enumerated in the 1880 census on 23 & 26 June 1880 living in the household of her mother Martha Daniels.

It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Chloe by comparing test results with other carriers of her ancestors' mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share DNA with Chloe:
