Biography

Ann (aka Anna) Daniels was born about 1740 in New London, Connecticut. She was the third of 10 children born to Jasper Daniels and Grace Edgecombe ,

She married John Way at New London around 1755. Their children, the first 6 of whom were born in Connecticut, were Nathaniel 1760-1812;[1] Phebe and Thomas 1762, John 1765, Benjamin 1767-1842,[2] Jasper 1772, James 1774 and Stephen 1775.

John and Ann (aka Anna) moved to Marlow, Cheshire County, New Hampshire before 1790 and are listed in the 1790 Census of Marlow. John purchased land in Marlow from Josiah Gustin by a deed of 24 February 1791.

By 1800, they are of Lempster, New Hampshire.

After her husband's passing in 1802, Anna married, second, Oliver Booth Sr. in April 1802 at Lempster.[3]

Anna died on August 5, 1830 at age 90 and is interred in the East Lempster Cemetery in Sullivan County, New Hampshire.[4]

On reflection, I agree that "Grace" does not belong here. Thanks for picking up on this. I think Greg will probably make the change.

First name should be Ann, not Grace or Grace Ann. Per source cited for her baptism in parents' profiles, Jaspar Daniels had three children baptized on August 15, 1742: James, Grace, and Ann. The idea that her name was "Grace Ann Daniels" seems to come from Cutter (https://www.google.com/books/edition/Genealogical_and_Personal_Memoirs/OU0k2d8nl3IC?hl=en&gbpv=1&dq=%22ann+daniels%22+%22john+way%22+%22new+london%22&pg=PA132&printsec=frontcover) but Cutter is very unreliable and has been found to have lots of mistakes in early generations. Having a two-part first name or having a middle name would have been highly unusual back then.
