Alice Rose was born in (circa) 1870, to Harry and Ellen Daniels. She was married to Arthur James Duncan in 1896 Taree New South Wales. They had one child together, James Francis Duncan, born 1897 Bowraville. Alice and Arthur lived at Hickson's Lane Botany NSW. That following year her husband died while at his fathers house in Botany. He was aged just 25, their son James was barley a year old.
Alice later remarried to William Hoffman in 1906 Bowraville N.S.W.. They settled in Bowraville, Alice's first sons place of birth. In 1907 they welcomed their first child together, Winifred. That following year their second child, William, was born.
Alice later resided in Macksville where on December 10th 1948 she died, aged 78 years old. She was laid to rest in the Macksville Cemetery of New South Wales.
