Fact: http://familysearch.org/v1/LifeSketch James Albert Danner was born in Florida to George Albert Danner and Vera Marie Osteen. At a fairly young age he was tasked with tending to George who was said to have been partially disabled due to a construction accident while working on a bridge. Vera ran the small grocery store and Jimmie helped where he could. Taking care of his little brother and father. Jim joined the Air Force during the Korean War where he was assigned to the ammunition group. He helped to build runways in South Korea. After returning to the states, he was stationed at Tooele Ordinance Depot in Tooele, UT. There he met Virginia Lou Lape. They got married and had 3 children. Steven, Glenn and Jeff. His career changed to administrative duties, primarily billeting (housing) in the Air Force. His job took him to Japan, Niceville, FL, Los Angeles, CA, Aviano, Italy, and finally Spokane, WA where he retired. After retiring, he worked for the Washington State Patrol until the family moved back to Tooele, UT to help take care of his mother in law Anna Louise Christensen. While in Utah, Jim found work at the Tooele Army Depot, for a short stint in security, but finally settling on his 2nd career in club management (NCO and Officers Club). He managed the NCO club in Tooele until he got a promotion to mange the Officers Club at Pueblo Army Depot in Pueblo, CO. After a little over a year there, the family decided on a change and all cast votes where to go. The choice was to go back to Spokane, WA. Jim had trouble finding work he was really interested in there, and that when it was discovered he had colon cancer. It must have been coming on for quite awhile as he went in for surgery on his 50th birthday and died within 3 months.
