Biography

Virginia Dare is Notable.

Virginia Dare was the first child born to English parents in America. She was the granddaughter of explorer/colonizer, Gov. John White [1].

Virginia, as well as the entire population of Roanoke Island, had vanished when John White returned in August of 1590 from a restocking trip to England. ^[1]

Legacy

• Dare County, North Carolina is named in her honor.
