Rebecca Dare was born on January 21, 1832, in North Curry, Taunton Deane Borough Somerset, England[1] She was the daughter of Ezra Dare and his wife, Mary Leakey.[2] In 1851 they were living in the Channel Islands in England,[3] in 1851 but soon moved to the US. Rebecca married Rev. Milton Rowley on February 10, 1857, in Jefferson, Wisconsin.[4] They had five children: Frank W., Mary E., Edward C., Alice Blanche, Anna Beulah. She passed away on November 21, 1899, in Coshocton County, Ohio.[1]
