Biography

Thomas Darling is the son of Katherine and George Darling. He was born about 1663, probably in Lynn. His birth date is based on a deposition he gave on 9 July 1703 in which he stated he was "age 40 or thereabouts"[1]

Thomas Darling married Joanna Liscomb, the daughter of William & Susanna (Unknown) Liscomb, by 1691.[2]

Thomas & Joanna were the parents of:

  1. Mary, born March 16, 1690-1.[3]
  2. Margaret, born June 4, 1695.[4]
  3. Elizabeth, baptized May 19, 1700.[5]
  4. John, baptized March 8, 1702.[6]
  5. Thomas, born September 7, 1704.[7][8]

Thomas Darling died in Middleborough, Massachusetts, on April 20, 1716.

His Will was written on April 14, 1716. In it are named: "my wife Joanna whom I make and appoint my sole Executive ... My youngest son, Thomas ... all other my goods ... be Equally Divided between My children, John Darling, Thomas Darling, and Margaret Darling." His moveable inventory heading records his death as 20 April 1716 and was taken on 20 August 1716 in Middleborough. [9][10]
