Louisa Darnell was born on July 18, 1829, in Alexandria (was then District of Columbia, now Virginia), a daughter of Henry Darnell and Leticia Grayson.
Louisa married Noah Taylor c. 1844. They had three daughters: Gertrude, Constantia, and Martha. The family moved to Springfield, Ohio, and then settled in Cincinnati. Noah died before the 1870 Census.
Louise appears as a widow of Noah in the City Directory from 1887 to 1909, living at 17 Betts Street and then at 229 McFarland. In about 1908 she moved to Chicago to live with her daughter Gertrude.
In 1850, the Taylor household was in Cincinnati, Ohio.[1]
In 1860, the Tailor household was in Springfield, Ohio.[2]
in 1870, the Taylors (misspelled at Tacker) lived in Cincinnati, Ohio.[3]. Daughter Gertrude (and her husband Tabbs Gross) lived next door.
In 1880, Louisa lived with her daughters and granddaughters at 17 Betts Street in Cincinnati, Ohio.[4]
In 1900, Louisa lived with her daughter and granddaughters at 610 Freeman Avenue in Cincinnati, Ohio.[5]
In 1910, Louisa lived at 3424 Dearborn Street in Chicago, Illinois.[6]
Louisa died on October 30, 1910, in Chicago, Illinois. She is buried in Oak Hill Cemetery.[7] [8]
