1942-2008 GLEASON: Torchie Blanch Mayo, 65, died Monday, August 25, at McKenzie Regional Hospital. The body will be cremated and buried at Grove Hill at a later date. Mrs. Mayo, a homemaker, was born December 22, 1942 in Martin to the late Chester Lee and Loraine (Jones) Darnell. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Faye Darnell. Survivors include: her husband, Joeneill Mayo; three sons, Johnny Edwards of Dresden, J. T. Edwards of Texas and Vernon Edwards of Tennessee; one daughter, Belinda Edwards of Martin; two sisters, Jane Dublin and Diane Harrison, both of Dresden; and four grandchildren. Gallimore Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
