Research Notes

I adopted this profile and have no clue what do do with "Gedcom". I redid - wrote bio and imbedded old and new sources just to move this profile forward.

Gedcom Item: Gedcom source shown under SOURCES

  • Wiki won't allow link to be imbedded because it has an e-mail address
  • How do I know what this "Gedcom source" is?
  • How do I access, particularly since I'm not allowed to add the source because it has an e-mail address
  • Even though it's heading was originally MARRIAGE, they would not have had 3 children when they got married, so it had to have come from some other source after the fact OR referenced parents in a child's marriage record.
  • I separated the info into two categories: Marriage and Children but can't use the source until the actual name of the source can be identified and info substantiated.
  • How does one access "source link" (now placed below because Wiki calls it an e-mail address (???)). Need help with this one.

MARRIAGE: See Gedcom #S00123 below under sources

Date: 07 APR 1917
Place: Sycamore, DeKalb, Illinois, USA

CHILDREN: See Gedcom #S00123 below under sources

Relationship to Father: Natural
Relationship to Mother: Natural

I give up! After more than an 1 1/2 hours trying to use the already existing Gedcom source that could not be accessed to see what the actual source was and now getting "don't put an e-mail address into bio" as I am saving all that was done - I'm deleting everything listed under Sources below one by one until I am allowed to save this profile. (Sorry Dennis Marler and possibly Towne-Weeden.ged ... thanks for adding the gedcom but it appears Wiki is not allowing because you have e-mail address in the reference ... and I have now had to delete to get this profile saved.) If you know the e-mail is in other of your contributions, please fix.
