William was born 13 Sep 1882 in Seaforth, Huron, Ontario, Canada. ^{[1] [2]} In 1891 he lived with his family in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. ^[3] He was a clerk in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada in 1901. In 1906, he was a C.P.R. brakeman living with his family at 108 Charles, Winnipeg. living there also were his mother, Annie, Etta, Henry H. and "Roy". ^[4] William Herbert Dart and Hilda Ethel Aikens were married 20 Jun 1912 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. ^[5] By 1916 William was an express messenger for the railway in Miniota, Manitoba, Canada. ^[6] He was living at 830-4th Avenue, Saskatoon when he retired in September 1947 having been a train baggageman on the Bredenbury - Saskatoon run since 1931. ^[7] Children:
