Biography
When Thomas Roger Date was born on July 10, 1857, in Shullsburg, Wisconsin, his father, William, was 33 and his mother, Mary, was 27. He married Lucinda Jane Edwards on November 10, 1881, in Galena, Illinois. They had seven children in 13 years. He died on July 3, 1934, in Kansas City, Missouri, at the age of 76.

Thomas and Lucinda only had four daughters: Estella Maud, Mabel Elizabeth, Florence Elsie Elaine (my grandmother), and Mary Lynetta. This information was confirmed by my father.
