Jean Baptiste Dauphin was born and baptised on November 26, 1749 in Beauport, Canada, Nouvelle-France. His parents were Vincent Dauphin and Marie Thérèse Bélanger.[1]
He married Marie Louise Guillot, daughter of André Guillot and Marie Louise Lamothe, on February 27, 1775 in Beauport.[2] Marie Louise died on May 6, 1778 in Berthierville, Berthier-en-Haut.
The couple had 3 known children, 1 known to die young & 1 to marry.
As widower of Marie Louise Guillot, Jean Baptiste Dauphin married Marie Angélique Plouffe, daughter of Louis Plouffe and Marie Angélique Riel, on July 18, 1785 in Berthierville, Berthier-en-Haut.[3]
The couple had 14 known children, 7 known to die young & 3 to marry.
He passed away on January 6, 1814 (no age given). His burial was two days later in Berthierville, Berthier-en-Haut.[4]
