DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Anna by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage (beta) of DNA with Anna:

My descendancy through Anna was supported by DNA today! An Ancestry.com member "tropicalyankee" took the Special:DNATests&u32&id=2 AncestryDNA autosomal test and matches as a 5th to 8th cousin. She traces a connection to Anna'a parents Jean and Marie as well. (This doesn't prove that this is our connection -- she also has Wamboldts in her genealogy.)
