Obituary of Laura Davenport Reed

Harrodsburg Herald 10 October 1941

"Mrs. Laura Davenport Reed, 82 years of age, died at 8 a.m., Sunday, October 5, 1941, at her home in Duncan. She was one of the most highly esteemed women of that section and an influence for good in the community. She is survived by her husband, Alonzo Reed, one daughter, Mrs. Oscar Sanders, and eight grandchildren. The funeral was at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Grapevine church, of which she had long been a member. The services was by her pastor, the Rev. Leroy Tracy and burial in the church cemetery. The casket bearers were Eskell Graham, Charles Jordan, William Coslow,Rome Lay, L. C. Pinkston and H. G. Royalty"
