Dorothy was born in 1716. She is the daughter of Martin Davenport and Dorothy Harrelson. [1][2]

Dorothy lost much for the cause of liberty. Her husband died serving the cause, as did her son, Richard. Three of her other sons served in the Continental Army as well.
