Mary Davenport was born on 9 April 1779 in Tyrrell, North Carolina, daughter of Elkanah Davenport (~1758–~1785) and Rachel Wynn (~1758– ).

Mary died on 10 January 1858 in Washington, North Carolina, United States, aged 78. She was buried in Spruill Family Cemetery, Creswell, Washington County, North Carolina.[1]
