William is named in the will of his brother Thomas which is transcribed here
In January 1704/5, he was living in Sutton, with at least one child, James.
He is probably the William Davenport who listed in a 1727 poll book under Cranage in the hundred of Northwich. The entry records him as "Wm Davenport, Wincle".[1]
A William Davenport was buried at Wincle, Cheshire, on 29 September 1736.[2]
