Wylie was born 3 Apr 1903 at Soper, Kiamichi, Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory[2], the son of George Davenport and Narcissa Wilson. Wylie passed away 26 Oct 1985 in Oklahoma. He is buried at the Roselawn Cemetery, Mangum, Greer County, Oklahoma.[3]
