Biography

Walter William Davey was born on 6th February 1884 at Kai Iwi in the Manawatu, New Zealand, the son of wj Davey and his wife Annie Wiggins.

On 21 July 1908 Walter married mmc and they had four children before Martha died at the age of 35.

Walter then married efc on 25 July 1919 at Wanganui in the Manawatu. ^[1]

Walter was a dairy farmer who loved his cows, some of whom were very tame and could be handled and ridden, even by quite young children. ^[2]

Walter died at Waikato Hospital in Hamilton, Waikato on 14th July 1952 at the age of 68. Three days later he was buried at Ohaupo Cemetery …ie, on 17th July 1952.
