Hi Harold! Could you take a look at the G2G discussion about Robert Peyton?
I work with the Magna Carta project & that project's guidelines are to go with the latest published research. Richardson's 2013 Royal Ancestry does not give a surname for Robert's wife Mary, so the profile for Mary Keeble has been detached as his wife. I would really appreciate your input to the question of his wife's maiden name!
Cheers, Liz
P.S. I still haven't yet ordered my copy of The Peytons of Virginia, but it's on my Christmas list this year! Best wishes for a Joyous Noel to you and yours.
P.S. The Valentine d 1831(?) in KY is not, I don't think, related to the Valentine Peyton I'm searching for (father of Robert m Ann Rush), but thought I'd pass this on in case you wanted to contact Casey Adams, the profile manager for the WikiTree profile of Valentine d 1831 (Peyton-755. Cheers, Liz
Hi Harold, and Happy 2015! I think the image of the will you posted in FamilyCrossings is for the Valentine in WikiTree at http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Peyton-755 - but I couldn't read the will well enough to tell for sure. In WikiTree, Peyton-755 has a son Vincent (http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Peyton-754), dec'd at time of will, m Polly, which matches what I could read in the will. The will appears to include their son "Val" ... could that be http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Payton-442 ? The Vincent in WikiTree has a son named Robinson, but I couldn't distinguish that the will included that name). Cheers, Liz
