Hypolite (30) married Celestine Richard (18) (born on July 31, 1814 in Louisiana, USA; daughter of Joseph Victor Richard and Marie Dositee Richard) on June 25, 1833 in Saint Landry Catholic Church, Opelousas, Saint Landry Parish, Louisiana. [3] Their children were:[4][5]

Hypolite died on July 23, 1881 in Opelousas, St. Landry, Louisiana, United States, aged 78. He was buried in Our Lady of The Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery, Church Point, Acadia Parish, Louisiana; [6]
