Biography

Rosa Bernadette David was born in 1876. She is the daughter of Hypolite David and Eliza Sandvall. She died in 1948.

Rites Saturday

Beloved Mrs. Rosa David Chachere, 71, widow of the late Rudolph Chachere of Opelousas and a native of St. Landry parish, died at 8:40 a.m. today, and funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow. The services will be at the St. Landry Catholic church, with interment in the adjacent cemetery, First National Funeral home in charge.

Mrs. Chachere is widely connected and well known throughout St. Landry parish, and she will be missed by many. She was the mother of Mrs. Allen Christman, Mrs. Ethel Chachere Smith, Ryan Chachere and Ira J. Chachere, all of Opelousas, and Mrs. Eugene Cantin, Lake Charles. She leaves a sister, Mrs. A. L. Chachere, Opelousas, [and brothers] Adolphe David, Opelousas, and Arthur David, Rayne. ^[1]
