Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!
Pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, thus coordinating with others is essential.
To find a project that may fit your research interests and provide opportunities to collaborate and contribute to our global tree, please use the Pre-1700 Projects list.
Please refer to the new recommended sources for citing Pre-1700s sources. when working on profiles of that time period.
For questions, just ask.

Regarding your message om Kambestad-2 - the Ingebjørg Olsdatter you have heard of as Begga's mother must be the same as Ingebjørg Mel, who I have mentioned in the profile already. I checked the farm book that I have access to, and at first glance I thought it said Ingebjørg and Ola were Begga's parents, but at second glance, Ingebjørg is Begga's sister, not her mother.
You do have to be wary of old Norwegian ancestry.com trees; a lot of them are based on the farm books, but not everything there is correct, and occasionally, things are misread or mistranslated. I can certainly tell you that Ingebjørg was born in Norway, NOT in Barbados.
Thanks for joining us! I hope you're enjoying our site and our community. I just wanted to check in and see how things are going. Have the New Member How-To pages been helpful or left you with questions?
It's great to have you on board. Enjoy your time here, and good luck growing your branches. If you need help just click on my name you'll be transferred to my profile where you can post a message or send me a private message.
