White Davidson was born about 1810 in Blount County, Tennessee, to Samuel Davidson and Charity Williams. He married Elizabeth Rex "Tinnie" Bobbitt, but this may have been his second marriage. His first wife may have been Dorothy Bobbitt and they married in 1838. I haven't yet found a marriage record for Elizabeth Bobbitt, who was 12 years younger than he was, according to the 1850 census. The two women may have been sisters or cousins. White and Elizabeth Bobbitt had seven children. Two of their children, Matthew and Emily Katherine, married siblings Nancy and William L. McCain.
By 1860, White Davidson had passed away. His youngest child was 1 year old, so he died between 1859 and early 1860. The record above shows he was alive in January of 1859 and purchased land in Huntsville, Alabama.
