Agness Davidson was born on 8 March 1767 and baptised on the 7 Apr 1767 in Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland[1]
She married Alexander Sinclair in 1788 in Falkland, Fife[2][3] They lived their married life in Leslie, Fife.
Agnes died in 1824 in Leslie and was buried 2 Nov 1824. On the death entry of her son, David (1881), she was recorded as Janet, the name supplied by the informant of David's death, his son Alexander. Agness may have died in 1824. An entry in the FFHS Death Index CD ROM for "Mrs. Sinclair......abode - Leslie...Date of Burial - 2 Nov 1824....Relative - wife of Alexr Sincler...Buried in grave of Mrs. George Sinclair". Source: Lair Fife Council, appears to refer to Agnes. Don Hutton (cousin) has a copy of a page from the Leslie Parish Money Register on which an entry dated 29 Nov 1824 records "To Mort Cloth for Alexr Sinclair's wife". This was probably a subsequent payment to the church by Agnes' family.
Agnes birth record is found under Dunfermline Associate Session (Other churches) on Scotlandspeople therefore there is no reference number or parish number. What is confusing is that it gives two birth dates 8 Mar in 1767 and in 1768 so I have gone with earlier dateHylton-692 07:16, 19 March 2023 (UTC)Hylton-692
Alexander is the 4x great grandfather of Hylton-692 17:55, 24 March 2023 (UTC)Hylton-692
