David Davies died with his father in the Universal Colliery disaster on 24-May 1901

David Davies was born in Glamorgan, Wales.

David was born in 1883. He was the son of Ebenezer Davies and Elizabeth Jenkins. ^{[1] [2]}

His mother died when he was young. He was living with his father and stepmother in 1901, and was now working in the coal mines with his father. ^[3]

Tragedy struck on 24 May,1901, when both David and his father perished in the Universal Colliery disaster.

He was just 17 years old. ^[4]
