Biography

Ethel May Davies was born on 2 October 1885 in the Town of Rose, Waushara County, Wisconsin USA. Her parents were John Walter Davies and Eliza Jane Davies (formerly Jones). ^{[1] [2]}

Ethel grew up in a large farm family – she had five brothers and four sisters. When her mother passed away in 1904, 18 year old Ethel assumed the duties of the woman of the house. ^{[9] [8]}

On 5 May 1909, Ethel and Frank August Radloff were married in Almond, Portage County, Wisconsin, USA. ^[3]

The couple raised three daughters and two sons. Over the years, they farmed in Portage, Waushara, and Waupaca Counties. By 1950, Frank was working for the City of Waupaca and the couple lived on a farm southwest of the city. ^{[4] [5] [6] [7] [10]}

Sometime in the late 1950s, Frank and Ethel moved into a house in the City of Waupaca. In her nineties, she moved to the local retirement home, where she died on her 105th birthday, on 2 October 1990. ^{[2] [8]}
