Christopher was ordained a deacon in the Mission church in Waimate on the 22nd September 1844.[5]
In 1846 Christopher and his family were living in Tauranga, New Zealand.[6]
1852 - in charge of the Mission Station at Opotiki.
Christopher died on 2 March 1861 and was buried in St Paul's Churchyard, Paihia, Northland.[7][8][9]
Research Notes
Although it appears that Christopher had two baptisms the second, when he was two, seems to be a record of baptism as the minister recorded as baptizing him was the same as in the earlier record. His siblings were also recorded and their baptisms were all recorded in this record as being in Ireland, except for Mary Anne, who was baptised that that day - 14 October 1813. George and Catherine were living at 35 Alfred Place,
The NZ historical index online shows his age at death as 50y but he would have been only 49 years old.
