Mr. L. L. DAVIES - Until recently proprietor of Fletcher, Chester and Co, grocers. Elizabeth street, Melbourne, Mr. Leslie L. Davies died at his home, "Lemai," Robe-street, St. Kilda, yesterday, aged 68 years. He was well known In tho racing world, being a member of tho V.R.C. and V.A.T.C. The funeral will take place this afternoon at St. Kilda cemetery.^[1]

Company grocers died at his home Lemai in Robe street St Kilda. He was aged 66 years. For many years Mr Davies was wldely known among sportsmen being a member of the Victoria Racing Club and the Victoria Amateur Turf Club At one time he owned several leading racehorses. He leaves a widow. The funeral will be held privately at St Kilda Cemetery to day^[2] Coffin-bearers were Messrs.. L. R. Davies, E. P, Davies, R. S. Davies, R. H. Davies and W. J. Davies (sons), and Mr. Les, Haberfield. Supporters of the pail were Messrs J. McLeod, H. Waterfall, S:. Logan, :J. Morgan, T. Jeffries, D. McKelzie, J. Hope and S. Lounge.^[3]
