William Thomas Davies was born about 1874 in Llansantffraid, Merionethshire, Wales. He was the son of William and Anne Davies. William grew up in Carrog, Merionethshire and is listed in the home of his parents in the 1881 Census.[1] In the summer of 1897, William married Mary Griffith[2] and they settled in Llansaintffraid Glyn Dyfrdwy, Merionethshire where William worked as a Slate Quarryman. They are listed there in the 1901 Census with 2 children, Thomas Ogwen and Enid. [3] In 1902, Llewellyn was born and Gwennol in 1903.
William died in Llansantffraid Glyndyfrdwy, Merionethshire 4 February 1909 and is buried in the Carrog Church of St. Ffraid Cemetery in Carrog, Denbigshire. [4]
