Biography

When John D Davis was born on August 3, 1851, in DeKalb County, Tennessee, his father, John Marion Davis, was 36 and his mother, Elizabeth Laurence Davis, was 32. He married Martha Caroline Fite on January 26, 1871 and they had 13 children together. After Martha's death, he married Mary E Jacobs in 1875. John D Davis died on August 10, 1936, in Dowelltown, Tennessee, at the age of 85, and was buried in Pisgah, DeKalb County, Tennessee, United States
