She married 2 Nov 1885 at the Presbyterian Church in Spring Hill by Rev. J. M. Robinson, James Lamont. James was born 17 Mar 1857, son of Neil and Annie Lamont of Sydney. The marriage was listed in the 7 Nov 1885 edition of the Presbyterian Witness. James and Mary were both living in Springhill at the time of the marriage.
In 1891, James was a miner at Springhill. In 1901, James and Mary were living in Sydney Mines, Cape Breton County where John was a collier. James died in 1914, Mary died in 1931. Both are buried in the Brookside Cemetery, Sydney Mines.
Children: Ellen, John, Clara.
