Helen Davis Suter was born around 1912 in Nebraska and later married John Estes Suter. By 1940, her and Estes had four children: John E Suter, Jr, Helen Joyce Suter, Beatrice J Suter, and Leonard W Suter. They lived at Wind Cave National Park, South Dakota, where Estes was a Park Ranger and Wildlife Manager[1]. Between 1935 and 1940, Helen's mother, Catherine P Davis (aged 59) moved into the family home.[2]
