pursuant to March 1767 petition, for division of tract called ‘Lebanon.’ As heirs, 3 sons, David, John, & Nutter Smith died without issue and intestate, lands are divided among other surviving children, to wit
Thomas Smith, a minor – receives portion of dwelling plantation, 176 acres
Comfort Smith, the wife of Dormand Loughland, and Dorman Loughland – 100 acres where they now dwell, plus a portion of 35 acres that was willed to David Smith, deceased. Equals 135 acres total.
Elizabeth Smith a minor – 12 acres of woodland with some clear land included
Also, 4 grandchildren:
John Hickman, minor son of William Hickman & his wife Sarah, deceased – 200 acres on the County road
Nehemiah Davis, a minor, son of Mark Davis and Comfort his wife, deceased – 79 acres as part of dwelling plantation of John Smith deceased.
