Samuel is living with his wife, Helen, in 1920.[1] Their home was on 2132 North University Avenue. Samuel was a cabinet maker for a furniture store.
In 1925, Samuel and Rebecca were still at 2132 University in Des Moines.[2] Also at home were Rebecca's daughter from her first marriage, Louise H Diehl, her husband, John E Diehl, and Samuel's granddaughter, Anita L. Smith. Samuel's home was valued at $4000, he had it mortgaged for $1000, and had $3000 in insurance on it.
