Biography

Thomas DAVIS, son of Samuel DAVIS (1769-1820) and Hannah COOK (1777-1820), was born on 4 December 1807 in Stoke, Staffordshire, England. He was christened on 9 December 1807 in The Church of St. Peter Ad Vincula, Stoke, Staffordshire, England. He married Sarah LINGATT on 30 January 1831 in The Church of St. Peter Ad Vincula. In 1841 he was a pottery turner. He appeared in the census in 1841 in St. Ann Street, Penkhull, Staffordshire, England. In 1851 he was a Potter Turner. He appeared in the census in 1851 in Union Street, Penkhull, Staffordshire, England. He appeared in the census in 1861 in Trentham Road, Stoke, Staffordshire, England.

Thomas and Sarah had at least 11 children in Stoke between 1831 and 1851.
