Biography

Private Hezekiah Davis served with Major Backus' Regiment Light Horse, Connecticut Militia during the American Revolution.

Hezekiah, son of Daniel Davis & Tamer, was born on 30 September 1750 in Oxford, Worcester, Massachusetts Bay Colony.^[1]

Hezekiah served in the American Revolution as a private in Captain Amasa Keyes' company on 8 September 1776 in Connecticut.^[2] Hezekiah died in service (age 25) on 4 October 1776 in Thompson, Windham, Connecticut, United States.^[3][4] Hezekiah was mentioned on a memorial in West Thompson Cemetery, Thompson, Windham County, Connecticut, United States with a death date of 4 October 1776.^[5]
