FamilySearch has James R. Davis and Catherine Kreb listed as the parents of Freelove Davis, born some time between 1845 and 1847 (inclusive). She is listed in both the 1850 US and 1855 NY census records. However, all further records give a birth year in the range 1851..1855.

One possibility is that she lost track of (or lied about) her age for much of her adult life. Another possibility is that there were two children named Freelove Davis, one of whom was born in the 1840's while the other was born in the 1850's. If this is the case, then James R. Davis and Catherine Kreb are the parents of the elder Freelove, while Vincent John Powers married the younger Freelove. More records are needed to figure this out.
