Corporal US Army Veteran Korean War. He was seriously wounded in action by a missile. But recovered and rejoined his unit.He was awarded the Combat Infantryman's Badge for his satisfactory performance of duty in ground combat against the enemy. His unit made two amphibious landings and was the only U S outfit to reach the Manchurian border. Later the same troops took part in the evacuation of the Hungnam beachhead,the largest water evacuation in American military history.
