↑ The Diaries of Laura Davis 1856-1857. . He is the "Uncle Lewis" mentioned throughout her diary. On the 1868 map he is the southern neighbor of Laura's father on Chestnut Tree Hill Road. From her diary it would seem he lived there in 1856 and 1857, also.

He was the son of Col.
