Does anyone know the source for third wife being an Adams? Seems that she should probably be Jane Unknown.

I Have been looking at the nine profiles of children currently linked to William and his third wife Jane. I see that in the records from Roxbury that a William Davis is listed as father of all nine. Births range from 1669 thru 1683, all born prior to William's death in 1683. I see in William's profile that six of these nine children should? be listed as grandchildren? So were they children of William's son William (1663-1678)? The dates don't seem to work. I see another reference here that six of the nine (minor) children were not mentioned in William's Will in 1683. I see no reference in his Will to any of his children with Jane; only references to children from his first and second wives. Should I assume that minor children were too young to receive an inheritance? Is there a codicil to the will which mentions other children? I am willing to look further for clarification. FYI, William seems to be one of my 9th great grandfathers.

I will be sorting out the children with the right mothers and also proposing merges of Goddards and Davis children. The sources I listed tonight in this profile.

To finish merging these Davis duplicates is that we need sources for which children belonged to what marriage as William Davis ( b.1617 ) was married three times. There seems to be a duplicates - some as children of Alice Thorpe, 2nd wife; some of first wife Elizabeth Unknown.

Also some of his Goddard grandchildren are mixed up in this family group ( and with the last name of Davis !).
