Thomas Davis was born on January 07, 1754 in Rutland, Worcester, Massachusetts Bay. His parents were Nathan Davis and Ellen Hubbard. [1] [2]

He was a soldier in the Revolutionary War, having served in the Holden Minute Men company of Capt. James Davis, Col. Ephraim Doolittle's regt., and in Capt. John Jones's company, same regt. various other companies through 1779. [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8]

He married Lettice Rice on July 18, 1782. [9]
