Biography

In the 1950 census David (age 6) was the son of Clifford O Davis in Logan Township, Blair, Pennsylvania, United States.[1]


David married Marian Viola Buterbaugh on 28 January 1965 in Clarke, Virginia, United States.[2] They were divorced on October 18th, 1979, while both were living in Twinsburg, Summit.[3]

Obituary

DAVID T. DAVIS Sr, age 71. Husband of Georgia (nee Samson). He is now home and has been greeted by his mother Nancy and father Clifford. From there he will watch over his loved ones: daughters Melissa, Michelle Mingle and Ashley, sons David Jr (Jennifer) and Joseph (Rean); grandchildren Jamie, Morgan, Bradley, Brandon, Bennett, Addison, Spencer, Harper and Heath; great grandchildren Parker and Piper; siblings Barbara Zee, Gloria Guyer (dec) and James David (dec) and many nieces and nephews.

David is now resting after a 13 year battle with Head and Neck Cancer. He was an inspiration to all who knew and met him, especially those he mentored and inspired through the Head and Neck Cancer support group. David taught us that life may not be easy, but God promises its worth it. Driven by faith and the love for his family, David courageously overcame and endured the sometimes permanent side effects of his battle.

Although the path of his treatment removed his ability to speak, through a twinkle in his eye or a special look, he never struggled expressing his love to those around him. He has left a legacy of love, faith and courage and is now enjoying endless shopping and a bountiful spread of his favorite foods he so greatly missed.

Funeral Services 10 am Thursday at Church of the Redeemer, 2420 S. Taylor Rd, Cleveland Hts, 44118. Friends may call at THE FIORITTO FUNERAL HOME, 5236 MAYFIELD RD, LYNDHURST (E. OF RICHMOND RD) 4-8 PM WEDNESDAY.[5]
