Biography

Mary was living when the Will of her husband (Samuel Burks) was probated on 12 Feb 1756. She died sometime after that date.

Research Notes

I've seen Ancestry records showing her married to both Samuel Burke and Robert Pollard. The Robert Pollard marriage is also listed on Find-a-Grave[1][2] and Samuel Burke marriage is listed on "Virginia, Select Marriages."[3] One possible child of the Davis/Pollard match-up is Ann "Mary" Pollard.[4]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Mary by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Mary:

The Stevens child is incorrect. He did have a mother named Mary Davis, just not this one.

Mary Elizabeth Davis had 27 children with three surnames despite having been married to only one man?
