Ann Bradford Davis was born 3 May 1926, in Schenectady, New York, to Cassius Miles Davis and Marguerite Stott. Ann had a twin sister named Harriet, as well as an older brother Evans.

Ann attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, intending originally to major in pre-med, but changed to drama after seeing her older brother's performance in Oklahoma. She graduated in 1948 with a degree in drama and speech.

Apart from acting, Ann joined an Episcopal Community in 1976 in Denver, Colorado. She was a long time volunteer for the Episcopal Church, attending services all across the country.

Ann never married nor was she ever romantically linked with anyone.

She died 1 June 2014 in San Antonio, Texas, after a fall in her bathroom. Sources close to her say she was in excellent health and the death was a complete shock.

Ann Davis received two Emmys for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role on The Bob Cummings Show. On 9 February 1960, Davis received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She never quit acting and even in her later years appeared in Swiffer and Shake-N-Bake commercials However, Ann will always be best known for her role as Alice Nelson, the housekeeper in The Brady Bunch series (1969-1974).

Davis-23011 and Davis-5936 appear to represent the same person because: Hiya, these two need to be merged. So does the father Cassius. Sorry, neither appeared when I searched or added. I only discovered the duplicates when I went to add her mother. That one showed up!
